A tribute to my dogs

                     past and present

Thanks for dropping by.

This website is dedicated to my dogs, past and present, who have brought me so much enjoyment over the years.

At the moment, I have 3 Border Collies, pictured below.

On the left of the photo is Kicker, the black & white split faced collie with different coloured eyes.  I saw his photo on the internet and fell in love with his odd little face, and had to make an 11-hour round trip from Kent to South Wales to see him at 5 weeks, and then another 11-hour round trip to collect him at 8 weeks but he was well worth the journey. 

Kicker is just over 4 years old now and his training is coming on really well. He won a few classes in 2008 and I'm looking forward to competing with him in 2009.

Next to Kicker is Teddy, the red & white split faced collie, who is 13 years old. Teddy competed in UK obedience competitions at the highest level but is now retired. 

On the right is 8 year old Bovva Boots, the tricoloured collie.  Bovva is an all-rounder, he competes in UK obedience competitions but has also competed in working trials and agility.  

Over the years, all my dogs have been reasonably successful, but I mainly love the shows because of the social side. 

A dog show on a pleasant Spring or Summer day, amongst friends, is a wonderful place to be, and I can't imagine a time when I won't be going to dog shows.  I don't know what 'normal' people do during their weekends! (Mind you,  the cold and wet days when you're up to your knees in mud aren't so great. Sometimes I wish I'd taken up stamp collecting!)

The white Collie in some of these photos is Jodie.  Sadly Jodie went to Rainbow Bridge in September 2007.  She was 13.

This website is called my Photo Album because that's all it was originally but it has turned into much more than just a collection of photographs because so many people were asking me to write about my dogs so I hope you enjoy reading about them all.
