Bizzi's First Agility Show

Bizzi competed in his first agility show on Sunday 3rd December 2000 at the Southern Border Collie Club Open Show at Willow Farm, Ospringe, Kent.  He was entered in 'Starters Jumping' and 'Elementary Agility'.

We had a great time. Bizzi really enjoyed himself. My trainers Shirley and Ron had told me to forget about the clock and go for a steady clear round, but once we got in the ring, we got carried away and went a bit fast.  Bizzi incurred 15 faults on the Elementary Agility, for leaping over the touchpoint at the end of the dog walk, running past one jump, and knocking a bit of the long jump over, but he went round pretty fast.  In the Starters Jumping class, he also incurred some faults. He ran past the first jump twice and I had to take him back, he missed out the last part of the weaving poles, and he knocked a pole down on one jump.

Here are some pictures taken from the video of the Elementary Agility class. (Click on thumbnail for bigger picture)

Nearly there

There were other obstacles, ie weaving poles, long jump, tunnels & other jumps but they were too far away for the video to capture them in any detail.
