IS YOUR PHOTO GOOD ENOUGH ?

I don't mean to be rude, but I am receiving a lot of photos and some of them aren't terribly wonderful.

If you are sending a photo to me, please make sure that it meets these criteria:

1. It should be in jpg format, and approximately 500 pixels along its longest side.  Set the jpg compression to about 30%.

2. The photo should be a nice headshot preferably, showing the dog's facial markings, as this is the purpose of the website.

3. The photo should not be too dark, and the dog's eyes should show clearly.  Indoor shots using a flash will usually light up the eyes making it look like a devil-dog and won't look good so outdoor shots in good light are best.  Take the picture with the sun behind you so that it lights up the dog's face  and the dog's shadow is behind him.

4. The photo should be in focus, not blurry.

5. The background should be plain or pretty, not cluttered or dark.

6. I would prefer dogs to be off-lead, although sometimes I can edit the lead out afterwards.

If your photo meets all of these criteria, then please send it to me and I will be delighted to add it to my site.

PLEASE NOTE
:

There may be some delay before I add new photos to the site. I have a backlog of hundreds of pics and have very little time to update the site.

Please be patient.  I will get round to updating the site and adding your photos eventually (but it may be up to a a year!), and I will e-mail you when I've added them.

Thanks

Sharon
